De Reinoud Van Mechelen et a nocte temporis, on connaît l’amour du répertoire baroque et ce souci de recherche et de découverte de nouveaux territoires musicaux. Le grand public retient quant à lui le plus souvent de Beethoven, outre les symphonies, le cycle des quatuors à cordes, ou encore celui des concertos ou des sonates pour piano … Double surprise, donc, que ce concert au cours duquel Reinoud Van Mechelen et ses collègues musiciens se concentrent sur un cycle de chansons folk écossaises, irlandaises ou galloises que Beethoven lui-même s’est plu à arranger ! Weber complète harmonieusement ce programme original.

We know how much Reinoud Van Mechelen and a nocte temporis love the baroque repertoire and how hungry they are to research and discover new musical territories. For its part, the general public generally remembers Beethoven’s symphonies and string quartets, as well as the concertos and piano sonatas … This concert is therefore a dual surprise, as Reinoud Van Mechelen and his fellow musicians focus on a series of Scottish, Irish and Welsh folk songs that Beethoven himself arranged! Weber harmoniously completes this original programme.
