Internationally renowned, the young Armida Quartet from Germany offers a highly original and very varied programme of Romantic works. We will thus hear a quartet by Schubert, then Beethoven’s Große Fuge, and finally Verdi’s famous quartet, his only piece of chamber music. We will also discover a work by a composer of Jewish origin, Victor Ullman, who died at Auschwitz in 1944.
