Caldara reworks Ovid’s myth in a lively fable. A love trio evolves under the watchful eyes of Penaeus, Daphne’s father. To escape the passionate advances of Phœbus and Aminta, and after a number of twists and turns, Daphne undergoes a metamorphosis without her knowing: her hair turns into foliage and her arms into branches as she becomes a tree.  Featuring wonderful soloists from the Chœur de chambre de Namur, conducted by Jean-Marc Aymes with his hallmark precision.
