Les symphonies de Beethoven furent de son vivant l’objet de transcriptions diverses, notamment pour ensemble de musique de chambre. Toutes ? Non, pas le chef-d’œuvre qu’est la neuvième... Depuis 2021, c’est chose faite, le compositeur et violoniste roumain, Vladimir Mendelssohn s’y attela pour proposer cette transcription inédite. L’ensemble homonyme aura l’immense privilège de créer cette transcription, en hommage à son auteur décédé depuis. Une transcription de la Fantaisie Chorale qui préfigure, 15 ans avant, l’écriture de la neuvième symphonie, complètera ce programme.
During his lifetime, Beethoven's symphonies were the subject of various transcriptions, notably for chamber music ensembles. All of them? No, not the masterpiece that is the Ninth... Since 2021, the Romanian composer and violinist Vladimir Mendelssohn has been working on this previously unpublished transcription. The homonymous ensemble will have the immense privilege of creating this transcription, in homage to its author, who has since passed away. A transcription of the Choral Fantasy, which prefigured the writing of the Ninth Symphony 15 years earlier, completes the program.
