More information

In 2018, Les Festivals de Wallonie are celebrating the 70th birthday of Guy Van Waas, a prominent figure within the Belgian music scene for more than half a century as an organist, clarinettist and conductor of the ensemble Les Agrémens. During Les Nuits de Septembre, he will showcase his versatile talent – on the organ first of all, with Buxtehude and Jean de Lublin, a Polish keyboardist of genius whose Tablature pour orgue (1537–1548) contains no less than 350 compositions, and on the basset horn next, with Mozart’s Gran Partita, performed on period instruments with his friends from the Wolf Ensemble.

In collaboration with the Festival d’orgue de Liège. With the support of the Centre d’Art Vocal et de Musique Ancienne – CAV&MA

  • Jean de Lublin, Works for organ from the Tablature
  • Dietrich Buxtehude, Works for organ
  • Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Serenade No. 10 in B-flat major, K. 361 ‘Gran Partita’

19:00: Introduction to the concert by Guy Van Waas

In collaboration with the Festival d’orgue de Liège.
